"Equal Arm Cross"

The Equilateral or Equal Armed Cross dates back almost

five thousand years. It sometimes called the cross

of "Peace" or "Good Fortune". In the earliest versions the

the four arms were connected with "Earth,

Air, Fire, and Water" or the four cardinal points of the

Compass. In some the outer ring was said to

represent the greater light (Sun) and the inner

ring was the lesser light (Moon).
